Erika Eliasson-Norris, Founder & CEO at Beyond Governance
Erika has over 15 years’ experience in the governance field. Erika founded Beyond Governance, a multi award-winning full-service governance consultancy, having fast tracked her career to become one of the UK’s youngest FTSE 250 board governance advisers at 32. Erika is a moderator for The Chartered Governance Institute, a member of the Institute Of Directors, the official Governance Assessor for the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry and in 2022 Erika won the Governance Professional of the Year UK.
Tavier Taylor, Chief Technology Officer, Chartered Management Institute
Tavier Taylor is the Chief Technology Officer of the Chartered Management Institute. With over 20 years experience in IT Strategy delivery, digital and cyber security functions, Tavier is an advocate for technology leadership that seeks to inspire, elevate and disrupt global businesses and communities.
Graduating from the University of Houston with a degree in Technology Information Systems , Tavier’s career spans across Europe, Asia, North and Latin America. Her roles have seen her represent many top-tier organisations such as PwC, Cummins Power Systems and Weichai Group.
As a champion and advocate focused on connecting and advancing women across various areas of technology and other STEM careers, Tavier is also a mentor to the founders of 1000 Black Voices, an organisation helping to tackle the disadvantages that Black and ethnic minorities face in the technology industry. Tavier also recently featured in City AM, where each week a City figure is interviewed about what makes the London Square Mile special.
Frances Coulson; Solicitor, Partner and Head of Insolvency and Restructuring; Wedlake Bell LLP
Frances Coulson is a solicitor, partner and head of the insolvency and restructuring department at Wedlake Bell LLP, a top 100 London law firm, where she leads a substantial team of lawyers in contentious and non-contentious work.
She was Senior Partner at Moon Beever LLP in London and merged its legal practice into Wedlake Bell LLP in July 2021.
She is a Board Trustee and Deputy Chairman of the Fraud Advisory Panel (the anti-fraud charity), a Special Constable with the National Crime Agency appointed under the Crime and Courts Act 2013 (receiving a Director General's Commendation in 2014) , and Chair of the R3 (Association of Business Recovery Professionals) Fraud Group.
She was until recently a member of R3 Council and remains on its Policy Group, and is a member of the Council of InsolEurope and of their Fraud Group.
Her particular interest is contentious insolvency and fraud and injunctive relief. She has acted in many injunctions for Claimants and as Supervising solicitor for over 30 years. She received an award from the Insolvency Practitioners Association for her Outstanding Contribution to the profession in December 2022, having received a similar award from the Turnaround and Rescue Industry in 2012.
She was, until 2022, Deputy Chair of the Regulatory and Conduct Committee of the IPA.
She is an enthusiastic lobbyist for the insolvency profession and for victims of fraud. She recently became a non-executive Board member of the Insolvency Service, the government executive agency of the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy. (BEIS).
Arun Chauhan, FICA, Prof.PgDip (FCC), Specialist fraud disputes and financial crime compliance lawyer
Arun is an accomplished lawyer specialising in disputes and compliance investigations, bringing successful litigation claims to recover loss from financial fraud.
In 2016 he founded disruptive law firm Tenet, the only niche law firm in its field outside of London and winner of Boutique Law Firm of the Year at the prestigious Legal Business Awards 2022. Arun is a thought leader and trainer on counter fraud issues as well as a regular expert for the BBC, featuring on programmes such as BBC Breakfast News, Watchdog, Panorama, Rip Off Britain and BBC Radio. He has been quoted in prominent publications including The Times, The Guardian and The Telegraph and appeared on national radio news shows such as LBC Radio and GB News.
As Trustee Director of the Fraud Advisory Panel, Arun is dedicated to fraud prevention and has provided evidence to a House of Lords Committee about the impact of digital fraud and the effectiveness of the Fraud Act 2006. In 2023 Arun was awarded Transformational Leader in the Business Desk Leadership Awards for his innovative approach to leadership, believing legal services can be delivered differently by putting people and purpose ahead of profit.
Mark Babington, Executive Director of Regulatory Standards, Financial Reporting Council
Mark Babington is the Executive Director of Regulatory Standards at the Financial Reporting Council. He leads the division responsible for the FRC technical and public policy work covering audit, corporate reporting, corporate governance and stewardship, actuarial and the FRC Lab. Prior to joining ExCo, Mark led the FRC’s UK Audit Policy programme, measures to support greater competition in the UK audit market and work to support the reform of international standard setting for auditors, by global regulatory authorities. Before he joined the FRC, Mark had a twenty-year career in audit and was a Director at the UK National Audit Office.
Mark is an Independent Governor, Board Member and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, which is the UK public body dedicated to supporting democracy around the world. He is also a member of the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants, which sets the global Code of Ethics for the accountancy profession, and chairs IESBA’s Sustainability Task Force, tasked with developing revisions to the International Independence Standards. He also represents the FRC on the International Sustainability Standards Board’s Sustainability Standards Advisory Forum.
Roza Watson, Senior Audit Manager - Europe and International, Willis Towers Watson
Roza recently joined Willis Towers Watson as a Senior Audit Manager – Europe & International. Prior to that Roza was the UK Group Audit Country Lead at Zurich Insurance Plc.
Roza has worked both in Professional Practice firms such as Deloitte and Grant Thornton and in Industry including AIG and a small Lloyd’s Syndicate firm where she held a Head of Audit role. Roza has 18 years of experience in Internal Audit with 15 of these in managerial positions. Roza's specialism is in the Insurance sector which she has been in since 2009.
Roza is a Chartered Internal Auditor, a member of the Chartered IIA’s council of directors and leads the Chartered IIA’s Internal Audit Race and Ethnicity special interest group.
Clive Webb, Head of Business Management, ACCA
Clive Webb is the Head of Business Management in ACCA's Policy & Insights team. Clive's research focuses on the development of the chief financial officer and finance function. This spans from the purpose of the function to the implications of technological advancements, the changing skills needed and the inclusion of sustainability in a broader perspective of performance. He is the author of a joint piece of research on organisational transformation and internal control with IIA. His research also includes the future of learning in the profession, the impact of diversity, equity and inclusion on the profession and also how accountancy and finance professionals must play a strategic role in delivering on the social agenda in a just transition. Clive is a qualified accountant whose career started in one of the Big 4 and progressed through their audit and consulting functions.
Andromeda Wood, Vice President for Regulatory Strategy, Workiva
"Andromeda “Andie” Wood is vice president for regulatory strategy for Workiva and will be bringing her knowledge of the technology and regulation landscape in Europe to help inform the EMEA strategy and support the region's growth. She is an expert in data modeling, taxonomy design, and the role of technology in corporate reporting.
Andie is an experienced data and semantic modeler and also contributes to the XBRL standard at the international level. She brings a wealth of knowledge and deep understanding of regulatory impacts to global firms emerging from the European Union's Transparency Directive and Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Andie also serves as a member of the XBRL International Inc. Best Practices Board and is co-chair of the XBRL Entity-Specific Disclosure Task Force.
Previously, she was a senior technical manager for the IFRS Foundation helping to develop the IFRS Taxonomy and Standards. She served as a technical expert at global audit and consulting firm, Ernst & Young.
Andie is a frequent speaker on trends in technology for corporate reporting, and publishes various articles on XBRL, ESG, ESEF and digitally transforming corporate reporting. She has also written a column for Accountancy Today on technology and COVID impacts. She has a bachelor of arts in biological sciences from St Catherine’s College at Oxford University
Hetty van der Wal, EMEA Internal Audit ESG Lead
Hetty is an EMEA Internal Audit ESG lead with experience providing IA advisory and assurance services to large multinational companies, specifically providing support on climate change, sustainable finance and ESG support to mainly financial institutions but also several corporate organisations.
She currently support various UK and Global financial institutions with designing and ensuring sustainability is embedded in their audit plans but also leading audits in this space.

He has partnered and helped top-tier enterprises across diverse sectors.
A prolific speaker, Deep has captivated audiences at conferences, delving into Cybersecurity, Cloud Security, DBIR, GDPR, Big Data Analytics, and AI.
His expertise is validated by an array of credentials including CCISO, CGEIT, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CDPSE, COBIT 2019F, and CISSP. Notably, he's pursuing a Professional Doctorate in Data Science.
Deep's dedication extends to voluntary roles, notably as Council Member (NED) at Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors and Immediate President of ISACA London Chapter. He's a key figure in ISACA UK's Advocacy group and an accredited trainer for ISACA Global and London Chapter.
Jonathan Roffey, Partner at EY’s Technology Internal Audit practice for Financial Services
Jonathan is a Partner with over 14 years of Internal Audit experience who leads EY’s Technology Internal Audit practice for Financial Services. He is passionate about helping Internal Audit functions to be fit for the future, supporting clients in developing their target operating models to evolve into data-driven, technology enabled Internal Audit functions.
Jonathan works across the FS industry, with clients in the Banking, Fintech, Insurance and Wealth and Asset Management sectors. Jonathan leads these clients through undertaking IT Internal Audits in the face of the changing landscape caused by disruptive technologies, working closely with clients as they engage in large scale projects as part of “digitalisation” journeys.
Jonathan is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and has COBIT 5, ITIL and Prince 2 qualifications.
Frank De Jonghe, FSO Responsible AI Lead, EY
Frank has been working in the audit and advisory industry for the past 25 years, at the cross roads between modelling, regulation and business.
Based in London, he supports the modelling audit of some big banking clients and leads EY’s FSO Responsible AI offering.
He trained as a PhD in theoretical physics, and is a visiting professor at the universities of Gent and Antwerp in Belgium.
Carolyn Clarke CMIIA Deputy President (Elected Director)
Carolyn is an independent consultant providing specialist services that draw upon her in-house and advisory experience as Head of Audit, Risk and Control. She has almost 20 years’ board level experience in the not-for-profit sector and currently is Chair of Care International UK.
Carolyn spent 19 years at PwC, where she developed a deep specialism in the impact of culture and behaviours on risk, control, and assurance, and led the company’s client training business for more than a decade. Carolyn was a member of the Steering Group that developed the Institute of Internal Audit’s Code of Practice for Internal Auditors.
Patrick Ramirez, Director of Sysco Advisory and Audit Services, Sysco
Patrick joined Sysco in January 2023 and is a Director at Sysco Advisory and Audit Services, overseeing the international segment of the group.
Prior to SAAS, Patrick spent over 20 years in various international companies. In his last role at SThree Plc (a FTSE 250 company), he was the Group Head of Internal Audit where he helped to streamline robust audit/risk management procedures and improve the efficiency of audit processes. He led a recognised highly professional internal audit team, as confirmed by multiple assessments (EQA, annual IQA and peer benchmarking). Prior to SThree, Patrick held first and second line positions where he promoted collaboration between management and internal audit.
Patrick is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (UK & Ireland) and a French qualified accountant (DECF). He is an alumnus of Lincoln University (UK) and Saint-Étienne University (France), where he studied Business Administration and Accountancy respectively.
Nicky Sampson, Head of Risk Management and Compliance, Brakes (Sysco)
Nicky joined Brakes, as Sysco Company in February 2022 as Head of Risk Management and Compliance responsible for setting the direction for Risk Management across the whole of the UK businesses – Brakes and Sysco Speciality Group and positively influencing the Risk Management framework and culture to maximise resilience and mitigate risks.
Prior to her role with Brakes, Nicky worked for Smart DCC, (the organisation responsible for the secure national infrastructure that underpins the roll-out of smart meters across Great Britain) as Head of Risk, Audit and Compliance covering a broad range of operational and programmatic activity, beyond financial auditing and extending to internal consulting services.
Nicky’s career has been focused on delivery of major risk, compliance, audit and transformation culture change and strategies across variety of industries with a diverse range of stakeholders, building and cultivating world-class teams, and influencing colleagues at all levels to overcome cultural barriers of risk, internal audit and compliance activities.
Sam Seehra, Director of People Advisory Services, BDO
Sam is a Director within BDO’s People Advisory Services team and leads our Talent Solutions business, which encompasses BDO’s advisory services in Workforce Capability & Performance, Talent Acquisition & Onboarding, Employer Branding and Employee Experience. Sam has over 16 years of experience in Talent & People related solutions including 7 years with Korn Ferry, a Global Organisational Consultancy where he held a variety of leadership roles in their Outsourced Talent Solutions & Digital Advisory business.
Sam is experienced in helping organisations to improve Talent Management, Development and Acquisition processes. He is a passionate Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) advocate, in his previous role Sam was the subject matter expert (SME) for a scalable Inclusive Leader proposition and a member of the DE&I steering committee & SME community.
Cherry Cromarty, Partner, National Internal Audit Leader Digital & Risk Advisory Services, BDO
Cherry is a Partner & National Internal Audit Leader within BDO’s Digital Risk Advisory Services business. Cherry brings 20 years of experience in all aspects of Internal Audit, Risk, Governance and Control - working with clients of all sizes and in multiples industries, with a specialism in Retail.
Cherry’s interest in retail started when she spent two years working in an in-house internal audit team for a global retailer. Her experience spans from set up of an assurance framework to delivery of ongoing assurance through Internal Audit, including supporting in-house teams as they look to develop their internal capabilities to align to the needs of the business. Cherry has worked with national and global organisations from FTSE 100 to start up.
In the risk arena, Cherry works with clients as they are looking to get more clarity around what the barriers are to achieving their objectives, how can these barriers be controlled / removed and how can we ensure that they remain in place.
Dr Iain McGregor, Director of Innovation and Development, GIAA
Iain is the Director of Innovation and Development at the UK Government Internal Audit Agency. He leads the strategy on Innovation including the application of data analytics to internal audit and counter fraud and investigation activities. He previously worked at the Knowledge Transfer Network, Tata Steel, Lotus Engineering, ABB Rail Vehicles and Alcan International. He studied aeronautical engineering at Glasgow University and obtained a PhD in advanced materials working with Westland Helicopters.
Peter Williams, Deputy Director Internal Audit Specialisms, GIAA
Pete is the Deputy Director, Internal Audit Specialisms at the Government Internal Audit Agency. His primary role is strategic and operational leadership of GIAA’s Digital, Data & Technology, Programme & Project Management, Commercial and Grants specialisms, which provide internal audit and advisory services across the majority of central government. A chartered accountant and chartered internal auditor, Pete started his career as an external auditor with Deloitte before spending c. 15 years in a variety of internal audit roles in the construction equipment and food manufacturing sectors.
Andy Broughton CIA, CRMA, Director, Solution Consulting, TeamMate EMEA
As a Certified Internal Auditor Andy works at the intersection of internal audit and IT and has a passion for helping auditors to deliver more value to their clients through the application of technology
In his current role as the Head of Solution Consulting for TeamMate in EMEA he and his team work with new clients throughout the region to help them evaluate the capabilities of TeamMate solutions and understand how technology can help address the business needs of their department.
Prior to that Andy worked for many years within the TeamMate Product Management team helping to develop new and innovative products and was the Lead Product Manager during the development of TeamMate+ Audit.
Andy started working for TeamMate as an Implementation and Training Consultant in EMEA where he provided end user training and consultancy services for clients throughout the region. Before joining TeamMate, Andy was employed as a Training Consultant for a specialist provider of Enterprise Resource Planning software in the UK.
Frank Vukovits, Principal Evangelist, Fastpath Solutions
Frank Vukovits is currently Principal Evangelist at Fastpath Solutions. He has over three decades of experience as an auditor and business software and IT executive, and has held many previous leadership roles in the implementation and management of numerous ERP projects. Vukovits is one of the proud founders of the Microsoft Dynamics AX User Group (AXUG) and served as director of programming for AXUG for seven years, as AXUG grew from just an idea to the largest user group in the world dedicated exclusively to Dynamics AX, now Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain. He was also in corporate IT audit for GTE/Verizon for twelve years and still holds Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) designations. He passed the CISSP exam back in 2001. Frank is a frequent speaker at IIA, ISACA, software, and user group conferences.
Louise Fleming, Partner, Rosewell House LLP
Louise spent the first decade of her career working in professional services focused on financial markets clients. Her experience was in governance, risk and control working in the UK and Asia Pacific and included a secondment to the UK regulator.
In the early 2000s Louise moved into the corporate world, working her way through the three lines of defence in global financial services. First internal audit, then risk and finally as a leader in corporate banking with teams in both the UK and US.
Whilst Louise’s career was grounded in financial services governance risk and control, what she loved was the people. Today, Louise’s mission is helping people with deep technical skills improve their stakeholder relationship skills.
Over the last decade Louise has worked with many global financial and professional services organisations; she has trained and practised as a coach; she has been an independent trustee and board member; and has facilitated hundreds of workshops.
Most importantly of all she has had the privilege to work with professionals all round the world learning about them and their roles; what they find challenging; the skills they have and the skills they need. Louise looks forward to sharing these insights with you.
