Delivering insight, adding value...ethically

This event will focus on delivering insight and adding value ethically. It will run for an entire day and comprise both morning and afternoon sessions - which you can book flexibly.

The morning session will focus on insight and value and the afternoon session will look at ethics.

Delegates can attend either the full-day and see both sessions. Or attend for half a day, and see either the morning or afternoon session. The choice is yours.

Delivering insight, adding value - AM session

Our morning session will explore how we, as internal audit professionals, can ensure that we continue to add value and deliver insight to our stakeholders throughout this transitional phase and into a new ‘future normal’ working world.

As part of this focus, we will explore such topical issues as what effective internal audit key performance indicators look like, how valuable insight can be delivered (irrespective of the size of the internal audit team), a client perspective on added value from assurance and consulting activity. We will also examine some common lessons learned from our External Quality Assessment reviews (EQAs).

The only way is ethics - PM session

An ethical focus must be central to everything we do as internal auditors. This is recognised by the profession, and all certified members are required to gain at least two CPE points annually from a learning activity focused on the subject of ethics.

Our afternoon session takes established ethical principles, as they apply to our day-to-day working as audit professionals, and then develops them in a pragmatic way. Our excellent and knowledgeable speakers from the private and public sectors (both in the UK and Europe), will offer valuable insights into ethical challenges and dilemmas.

Expect challenges to your current thinking on what ethics in internal auditing look like.

What will I learn?

  • What ethics mean to internal auditors, including topical ethical challenges and myths surrounding ethics in internal auditing
  • How to satisfy your annual ethics CPE requirements as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
