Lean and agile auditing and compliance with IIA standards
A lot is being said about agile ways of working as applied to internal auditing. There is no doubt that these can offer audit teams opportunities to significantly up-grade what they do, delivering more valuable and timely assignments. That said, there are a range of questions about how these new ways of working align with IIA standards. This short webinar looks at some aspects of this question, bringing input from the book “lean auditing”, which addresses several aspects of this challenge, also providing some highlights from the Chartered IIA lean/agile training course.

Speaker: James Paterson
James Paterson is a former CAE. He provides training/webinars for the IIA in Belgium, Finland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway and the UK. For the Chartered IIA, he delivers training on other topics including: root cause analysis, assurance mapping, the induction course for new heads of audit and preparing for an EQA. He is the author of the book “Lean Auditing”, published in 2015. He has spoken at three IIA International Conferences on a range of topics including the politics of internal audit and root cause analysis.
