Wolters Kluwer | Impactful internal audit committee reporting

30 April | 10:00 - 11:00 | Online

The internal audit committee report is the culmination of our internal audit work and should play a vital role in enhancing the organisation’s ability to create, protect, and sustain value. While individual audit reports influence specific control areas, the committee report needs to have a broader enterprise-wide impact. However, effectively capturing the depth of our internal audit work, the resulting insights, and the function’s influence is challenging.

Drawing on the author’s experience in writing, presenting, and receiving committee reports, this webinar outlines key success factors for impactful internal audit committee reporting. The webinar will cover the new IIA standards relevant to committee reporting and offer practical tips to elevate your reporting. This will include exploring thematic issue development, business unit conclusions, annual opinions, and functional accountability reporting. Additionally, the presenter will share insights on improving the, often frustrating, committee report production process and attendees will receive a supporting workbook.

Our speaker, Jonathan Chapman, brings successful internal audit committee reporting practices to the discussion. Following an initial career in financial services regulation, Jonathan served as Internal Audit Chief Operating Officer at Aviva and Lloyds Banking Group. Recently, he has advised Internal Audit and Risk Executives on effective functional operations and change. Jonathan also serves as a Non-Executive Director on two committees, including as Chair of the Audit / Risk Committee.
